Troy was a master storyteller, with a knack for making every tale memorable, often bringing laughter and eye rolls in equal measure. More so, Troy was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. Troy and his mother, Carolyn, were two halves of the same whole, a bond that never wavered, no matter the distance or time apart. To his nieces and nephew - Jessie Welburn, Sadie Alkire (Daniel), Sarah Welburn, and Quaid Welburn - Troy was more than an uncle; he was their go-to father figure growing up. They could always count on “Uncle Troy” for guidance, encouragement, embarrassing nicknames, and the kind of tough love only an uncle who thinks he's always right can give. Troy had an ability to bring a lightness to every room, even when he was “just telling it like it is.” However, Troy wasn’t the tough uncle when it came to his great niece and nephews – Aubrey Jane and Zylar Franks, Lennox and Hudson Alkire, and Daxton Corwell - he embraced the role of a loving grandfather with “the babies” and cherished every moment with them.

Troy hung up his truck keys years ago, always saying he’d hit the road again someday. In recent weeks though, his course grew long and his load grew heavy. He kept pushing on, doing his best to 'keep on trucking' for all those who loved him. But God, seeing that Troy had grown weary, called him home to rest. Somewhere up there, we imagine he’s got his boots on the dashboard, with the radio playing a George Jones tune. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his best friend and big sister, Tina Marie Tonon.

Larry was a graduate of Keyser High School’s Class of 1971. In his younger years, he worked for the phone company and various other jobs. Later on, he worked as a house parent at the West Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind.

Larry was a faithful member for the last 20+ years at the Landmark Holiness Tabernacle. He loved Jesus, and was a faithful witness for Lord. He enjoyed reading his bible and sharing the good news. We rejoice in knowing that his time with the Lord has begun.

Larry enjoyed people watching, and you’d often find him sitting outside of his home doing just that. He was a landmark in Romney for many years in this way. Larry also enjoyed fishing, something that was made possible in his later years by the Weatherholt family.

JJ was a quiet man who loved his nieces and nephews very much which include Aydin and Brentley Ferrell, and Katherine, Caroline, and Thomas Warren. He left behind memories with his sisters, Adrianna Flack and Tiffany Mellott; his brother, Travis Williams; his brother-in-law, Matthew Warren; his step-dad, David Mellott; his best friend, Ernie Crouse; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

JJ enjoyed football, WWE, and had great taste in music and television shows. He was always up to speed on what new foods came out, even if they sounded terrible. We take comfort and peace in knowing his soul may rest now with his mother and father.
