Last week, Potomac Center held its quarterly staff awards and anniversaries ceremony to recognize staff tenure and honor those voted on for various awards by their peers.

Our Non-Regular of the Quarter award went to Tatiana Torres, a staff who recently left full-time status for other opportunities but still finds time to work with the clients.

Rising Star, an award for newer employees who have shown a lot of promise and put their best efforts forward was awarded to Jessica Fanelli and Ashley Vane.

Most Cooperative is awarded to staff members who will do anything asked of them with a smile, whether it be working other shifts or programs. These awards went to Roman Torres, Dave Beckman and Olivia Barnes.

Most Dependable is for staff who managers can count on to show up and get the job done the right way. These staff were Erin Albert, Dawn Finzel, and Bethany Deck.

Our final and most prestigious award presented was for Staff Person of the Quarter. This is someone who exemplifies all of the aforementioned qualities and more. This was given to Cindy Gelow. Cindy is in her 9th year with the Center and we have been better for it.

Congratulations to all winners and others nominated by their peers. And as always, thank you to all staff members for their role in ensuring the individuals receive the best care possible.

Last week, Potomac Center held its quarterly staff awards that recognizes staff from various departments and positions for their work in bettering the Potomac Center and its mission.

Fostercare Provider of the Quarter was awarded to Jeremy and Rachelle Champ.

Non-regular of the Quarter was given to Erika Riggleman.

Most Cooperative was awarded to Christine Feller, Program Manager and Behavior Specialist of our ICF program as well as DSP Cindy Gelow.

Most Dependable went to DSP Kasey Kesner and Tina Smouse, RN.

A specialty award was given to Tonya Jones and Jackie Burns, Case Managers for our Community Services department. This decision was made after both ladies received glowing reviews through satisfaction surveys completed by guardians who receive Waiver services through the Potomac Center. Another was awarded to our Maintenance and IT departments for being willing to help out at a moment's notice during a big transition for the Center.

Finally, Staff of the Quarter was awarded to Margie Davidson. Margie rejoined the Center as a Service Coordinator for Conrad Brown House in 2021 after several years away from the program. Margie has recently accepted a new role and will be our newest Case Manager in our Community Services department.

Congratulations to all winners and those nominated on your achievements. The Center would not be where it is without each and every one of you.

Wednesday, the Potomac Center held its annual DSP of the Year awards ceremony.

The DSP of the Year is awarded to the direct support professional who stands out above all others in exemplary job performance including but not limited to leadership, dependability, cooperation, and overall care for the clients served.

Our finalists this year were Kelsey Eaton, Megan VanGosen, and Shyanne Mullenax.

Our winner, Kelsey Eaton, is a Lead DSP for Rick's House in our ICF Campus program. Kelsey has been with the Center since January of 2020, and returned to a full-time position in January of 2022. Kelsey recently graduated with her bachelor's degree in graphic design.

We want to take this opportunity to congratulate Kelsey, as well as Megan and Shyanne as finalists. The Center would not be what it is today without hardworking, dedicated employees that show each day the best qualities of what a DSP can be.

Congratulations, ladies, and thank you to all staff who improve the lives of our deserving individuals each and every day.
