As I am moving from the area, all programming for the From Now On Ministries has ceased. I want to thank everyone who supported our recovery efforts over the past 2.5 years. There was talk among some of the members at our last gathering about starting a new group in the area in the coming months. I will keep everyone updated.

Good afternoon. As your pastor, I have been blessed to serve Ebenezer and Maple Springs for nearly 4 years. I am being asked by the United Methodist Church to go serve a full time church in Denton, NC. My last Sunday will be October 12. If an interim pastor is not found right away, the pulpit will be filled by Randy B or Ryan T until the replacement is chosen.

I cannot thank all of you enough, in the community and the churches. I have been so incredibly blessed, and I praise God for the opportunities you have given me as your pastor. Your love and support has been a blessing to both myself and our family and I will forever be in the debt of these congregations. While I know these changes will be difficult, it will be so for both of us and in all things, know that you have my love. May God go with you all and may we all continue to devote ourselves to the work God has set us to.

2 thoughts from James Clear's Atomic Habits newsletter -

"Take great care to avoid mistakes when the decision is hard to reverse.

But! If you make a mistake that is hard to reverse, there is no sense beating yourself up about it. Your responsibility is to make the best next choice given your current position. You must always make the most of the situation you are in.

Next play mentality."

"Many frustrations are the result of unspoken expectations. Before you get too annoyed, make sure you are clearly expressing your thoughts."
