Our organization has been striving to serve the needs of our region since we were established in 1944. Uintah Basin Healthcare strives to be a standard of excellence and cooperation in assisting the people of the Uintah Basin in becoming the healthiest people in Utah. As a 501-C3, not-for-profit corporation, the corporate name of the healthcare system is Uintah Basin Healthcare, with the hospital name remaining Uintah Basin Medical Center. Uintah Basin Healthcare has progressively expanded by adding more physicians and specialties, and by expanding their facilities. The objective has been to provide more specialized healthcare services locally so residents don't have to travel long distances to the Wasatch Front when specialized medical services are needed. We are proud to be a part of this community, and with your help and loyalty, we can continue to provide health services that you can depend on.

Roosevelt Campus Updates – Effective Monday, March 30

Roosevelt Urgent Care will be located upstairs in Clinic 1, Suite 201. Patients should check in at the Clinic 1 welcome desk just inside the Clinic 1 entrance.

Jeffrey Wheeler, DO (Family Practice), will move to Clinic 2, Suite 203, on the second floor.

Uintah Basin Healthcare is participating in Uintah County School District’s large-scale safety exercise TODAY, March 20, at Uintah High School and Ashley Valley Education Center.

What to Expect: A large number of first responders and emergency vehicles, including medical helicopters, will be present at both Uintah High and AVEC. This is a safety exercise, not a real event. Signs will be posted as reminders. Please do not call Central Dispatch to report activity at either campus on March 20.

Uintah Basin Healthcare will be participating in Uintah County School District’s large-scale safety exercise on Friday, March 20, at Uintah High School and Ashley Valley Education Center.

What to Expect: A large number of first responders and emergency vehicles, including medical helicopters, will be present at both Uintah High and AVEC. This is a safety exercise, not a real event. Signs will be posted as reminders. Please do not call Central Dispatch to report activity at either campus on March 20.

As a reminder, the Uintah School District will hold a large-scale safety exercise on tomorrow, March 20, at Uintah High School and Ashley Valley Education Center.

◾ What to Expect: A large number of first responders and emergency vehicles, including medical helicopters, will be present at both Uintah High and AVEC. This is a safety exercise, not a real event. Signs will be posted as reminders. Please do not call Central Dispatch to report activity at either campus on March 20.

◾ School Impact: There will be NO impact to elementary school students or students at Central Cove Early Learning Center. Friday, March 20, will be an online learning day for all 6th–12th grade students at:

▪ Eagle View Elementary

▪ Uintah Middle School

▪ Vernal Middle School

▪ Uintah High School

▪ Ashley Valley Education Center

Educational services for students with complex needs have already been arranged. Students should complete Friday assignments by Sunday at midnight. This schedule change allows secondary teachers to participate in the safety exercise if they choose.

Remember: This is a safety exercise, not a real event.

Uintah Basin Healthcare (250 W 300 N Roosevelt, Utah) has been identified as an exposed area for Measles. The exposure risk area was in the Roosevelt Women’s Health Clinic on level 2 on Monday, March 16th, between the hours of 2:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

We believe in transparency, and your health is our priority. If you believe you were exposed or have symptoms of measles, take action to prevent spreading it to others. Uintah Basin Healthcare has worked diligently to contact affected patients and provide guidance.
