Not like you haven't seen this before, but I decided to bring back the carpet cleaning powder. I have a box of shaker jars. Unless I sell them to a pizza place, I thought I'd just keep the fabulous carpet cleaning powder. Great alone, but amazing when it's fragranced with rosemary peppermint.

I'm old school. No big surprise. As part of downsizing, I decided to delete every photo that isn't relevant on Wash-N-Well's page. It took HOURS! I Googled how to delete more than one at a time, didn't figure it out and decided to delete them one at a time. A definite walk down memory lane. This making-money-like-it's-a-hobby time filler has really changed during the years. It started with a 2-pound block of soap, sharp knife, one tiny bottle of fragrance and one mold. Yeah, it's grown and is now getting toward a more manageable size of time filler. Boxed up the molds and fragrances I'm no longer keeping. Added a few more molds. Sure I could make a buck or two trying to sell them. But as soon as the boxes are in the car, they are GONE from the office!
I've had stops and starts from personal crises, made thousands of soap bars, filled hundreds of bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, sprays and more and printed out thousands of labels. Those have changed as well.
What hasn't changed is my love for making soaps and Earth-friendly products for people. Whether for individuals, parties, businesses, I really like making them. My creative side has loved this part!
My soaps have traveled as far as Honduras and as close as the same zip code in which I lived. I've reconnected with classmates from kindergarten through seminary. Colorado and Kansas and beyond.
As I posted earlier today, I will be working on the website during my time away from this Frodo-less domicile to one with three dogs. I will also plan to make product fact sheets and maybe even work on dates to post information; in the publishing world it's called an editorial calendar.
With THAT, I am stopping the workie thing today. Gonna color!

My July is STUFFED FULL, even to August 3.
Two dog sitting gigs and a trip to Colorado in between.
I wouldn't mind getting in the car today and driving west as it's beyond East-Coast humid here. Thought about taking a shower after I loaded the car, but I'd get sweaty again unloading the car (to deliver products to the Butler County Food Bank). I could just add body wash and shampoo.... Ewww!
While I am hanging out with dogs, I will be working on my website, updating product information, photos, etc. I will be creating fact sheets for each product and hopefully get back to sharing some fun facts about soap and cleaners. AND tying those factoids into information about the Wash-N-Well product line.
It's a lot more fun creating the products than doing the left-brain thing to write, do costing, etc.
About the product line, as long as I have ingredients and containers, I will still make most of the products, even some that I've discontinued (carpet cleaner, sprays). I have tons of containers that I just replenished. Imagine that.
I've also stocked up on fragrance and essential oils, soap bases (while they are on sale) and the vegan shampoo, conditioner, sugar scrub and pet shampoo. I have several gallon jugs of the old body wash, and I will sell it at the new price; it isn't vegan, but it's good.
That's more than enough fur now. My phone is ringing from Heaben. I wonder who that can be?!

Regarding the downsizing of the soap molds... A dear friend--and faithful soap orderer--just ordered soaps from molds that were about ready to get out the door to re-home...
So I have decided to keep many of the molds but just not put them on the website or advertise them.
If you need a soap for a party favor bag, a kitschy product to promote your business or to spoil yourself with a whimsical soap, let me know. I will always, always have dinosaurs! If I don't have the mold you need, I will order it!
