Statement from Missy Bartling, RST WIC Director

During the government shutdown, the Rosebud WIC Program will remain open and fully operational. We have secured temporary funding to continue services through November, and potentially into December.

WIC is conducting business as usual, and benefits will continue to be issued until further notice.

🎃 Trunk or Treat Tomorrow at Ghost Hawk Park! 🎃

Good morning relatives! 🌞
Rosebud Elementary’s first bus will arrive around 10:00 AM tomorrow, so we encourage everyone to come early and be ready to welcome the kids!

🌳 Important Info:
🚗 Only buses and Programs or businesses setting up a Trunk or Treat, game, booth or food stand will be allowed to drive into the park.
🚶‍♀️ All others should park outside the main entrance to keep traffic moving and make space for buses to get in and out safely.
🛻 A cart or trailer will be available to give rides for elders and little ones from the parking area to the starting point and back.
📍 A map is available at the gate to help guide everyone where to go.

☀️ Tomorrow’s Weather:
Expect abundant sunshine with a high of 57°F. Winds will be from the northwest at 15–25 mph, so it might be a little breezy — dress warm and bring your smiles, candy, and costumes!

🚒🚑🚓 Happy National First Responders Day! 🚓🚑🚒

Today we pause to say thank you to all the incredible First Responders who protect, serve, and care for our communities each and every day.

To our local fire departments and their amazing volunteers, our EMTs who are constantly on the move, and our Police Department who keep our families safe — we appreciate you more than words can express.

You are the heartbeat of safety and compassion in our community, and although we might not say it every day, please know how grateful we are for all that you do.

Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Annual Trunk or Treat
📍 Ghost Hawk Park – West of Rosebud
🗓️ Thursday, October 30th
🕙 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe invites everyone to this year’s Trunk or Treat celebration at Ghost Hawk Park!
This fun and family-friendly Halloween event will feature face painting, games, music, and plenty of candy for all ages! RST WIC will be giving out bags of popcorn and we will have the WIC Mobile there!

Those setting up vehicles for Trunk or Treat are asked to arrive before 9:30 AM to allow time for setup. The park will be closed to all traffic except school buses.
We are expecting over 800 children from Todd County Elementary, Rosebud Elementary, and Head Start, so early arrival is appreciated.

🚍 Transportation Reminder:
RST Transit will provide pickup and drop-off from All Stop.
Guests will not be able to walk into the park; however, wagon rides will be available to take everyone safely to their destinations within the park.
