Good morning, relatives
Here is a flyer that talks about su***de and how it can be considered another concern under Mental Health as May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
Su***de isn’t an easy topic to talk about but it’s something that needs to be addressed and educating ourselves on su***de to help a relative or friend who might be thinking of su***de.
We created a flyer that consists of six (6) tips to help you identify and recognize su***de and how you can help prevent su***de.
Remember that “su***de is everybody’s business, and anyone can help prevent the tragedy of su***de.”
We encourage people to utilize 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. It is a 24/7 resource and there is always a license mental health provider available to talk. What is shared is confidential. It’s not just used for su***de or crisis responses. It can be used for anyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression, sadness, anger, or stress. If they want someone to talk to and this is another resource to use.
We even offer a su***de prevention training called Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR). The QPR training is about 60 minutes long and it’s free of charge. Each person who receives the training will receive an annual renewal gatekeeper certificate, one (1) booklet, and additional information for you to have as resources.
If you’re interested in learning more about QPR or receiving the training to become a gatekeeper. Please reach out to our outreach workers Gabriel Good Shield and Daryl Jones III via email:
