I know I’m quiet on here most of the time, but I wanted to pop in and remind you that I’m still here — praying, supporting, and walking with families through pregnancy, birth, and those tender postpartum days.

It is an honor to be invited into this sacred season of life, and my heart is simply to help mamas feel calm, cared for, heard, and never alone.

If you or someone you love is expecting and would like faith-centered support, I would be so grateful to come alongside you/them. Even if you just have questions about what a doula does or need prayer, my inbox is always open 🤍

🌸 God Is Still Moving in Birth — and So Am I! 🌸

It’s been quiet on this page, but not in real life — the Lord has been keeping me busy supporting mamas and families through the incredible, sacred journey of childbirth. 💕 Each birth is a miracle, and I’m continually humbled to witness God’s hand at work as new life enters the world.

Though I haven’t posted in a while, I’m still actively serving as a labor doula — praying over births, walking alongside and encouraging families, while trusting God with every step.

✨ I have openings for due dates in November, December and January, and I’d be honored to walk with you or someone you love through this special season. If you’re seeking a Christ-centered, experienced doula, let’s connect!

What is "The Golden Hour" and why is it so important?

The golden hour is the name given to the uninterrupted mama and baby skin-to-skin period in the first hour after birth, that comes with a long list of physiological benefits.

For the baby:
* Bonding and security
* Breastfeeding initiation
* Temperature regulation
* Heart-rate regulation
* Reduced stress
* Stabilization of blood sugar levels

For the mother:
* Early bonding which increases confidence and satisfaction
* Oxytocin release that helps the uterus contract and helps to reduce postpartum bleeding
* Can lower the risk of postpartum depression
* A sacred time to pray for your baby and give thanks to the Lord

For both:
* Emotional well-being by reducing stress and anxiety
* Studies suggest that early skin-to-skin contact & breastfeeding initiation can have long-term benefits, including better developmental and health outcomes

Overall, the golden hour is a critical time that sets the foundation for a healthy start in life and a strong mother-baby bond.

Is it possible to do the golden hour after a cesarean birth? ABSOLUTELY!!! As long as both mama and baby are up to it, there is no reason it cannot be done.

The continued skin-to-skin can be done for weeks, not just the first hour. Encourage dad to get in on this as well, skin-to-skin is such a powerful thing!

Some things I do as your doula when you are in labor:

♥️ Breathing Techniques
♥️ Keep you up-to-date with what is happening
♥️ Giving dad a break

My job is to take care of anything you ask for during labor or delegate to the right person. It is always my pleasure to do whatever you need to make your labor and delivery exactly what you want it to be 🙏

N E V E R• underestimate the body. We have a level of inbuilt intelligence that’s “unexplainable” to even the worlds best scientists, mathematicians and doctors. No one can fully explain the rate of cell division and the precision that’s required during pregnancy. How a human grows another human from two cells meeting. How the cells divide precisely and become human body parts. The body is incredibly intelligent, beautiful and special. There are lots of ways you can work with it. Pregnancy may not be easy, sometimes there are complications but always try to remember that your body was DESIGNED for this. People can’t explain it because they refuse to see God IN it, the Great Almighty, the designer of our incredibly built body.

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
