That's our Lily! 🐶

We had a very special visitor at Umpqua Health Newton Creek Clinic this week. Meet Lilly, a certified therapy dog from CHI Mercy Health Mercy Medical Center. 🐾

Lilly has been visiting us weekly, offering quiet comfort in the waiting room and gentle snuggles after tough appointments. Whether with patients, families, or staff, she brings a calm, joyful presence that’s hard to put into words.

Her visits have truly shown us the value of incorporating this kind of comfort into our care. Lilly’s impact has been felt in every corner of the clinic, and she’s helped spark an idea we’re excited to grow.

As Lilly wraps up her visits over the next couple of weeks, we’re beginning to look for local volunteers with certified therapy dogs who may be interested in helping us shape what comes next.

We’re exploring how visits like these might become a more regular part of care at the clinic. For now, we’re just feeling grateful for Lilly and hopeful for what’s ahead.
