Behind every problem, there is always a chance for a solution. At Forget Me Not Village, we understand the challenges faced by families dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, and brain injury. Our journey began with a personal experience when my husband was diagnosed with MCI at a young age of 62. The frustrations and emotional toll of navigating through the existing care options led me to take action and find a better way. Our mission is to change the way we view and treat these life-altering conditions. We believe that families should receive the support and understanding they need during these difficult times. It shouldn't be the norm for loved ones to be torn apart and isolated from their families and friends. Forget Me Not Village is here to offer a different approach. We are proud to be the first facility of its kind in the U.S., located in beautiful Roseburg, Oregon. What sets us apart is our commitment to innovative treatment approaches and programs. We believe in behavior management rather than relying solely on medications. Our dedication to the principles taught by Teepa Snow, a renowned expert in dementia care, forms the cornerstone of Forget Me Not Village. At Forget Me Not Village, we provide a nurturing environment that focuses on the unique needs of each individual. Our goal is to slow down the progression of the disease, improve quality of life, and enhance the overall well-being of our residents. We understand the importance of supporting families throughout their journey as well. We are determined to raise awareness and educate our community about dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and brain injury. Through partnerships, educational programs, and community outreach, we strive to make a difference and bring about a positive change in how these conditions are understood and treated.
