October 1st is rapidly approaching! This date is important for those wishing to get the RSV vaccine (Beyfortus) for their 0-8 month old babies (and some high risk toddlers up to age 2 years) who are eligible to receive the vaccine. We have doses available! Please let us know if you are interested and we'll start booking those vaccine appointments!

Let’s give a big shout out to our medical assistant, Maddox, who is headed to Arizona to attend nursing school! It’s his last day today at NRP and although we’re sad to see him go, we’re also incredibley proud of him! Happy journey, Maddox! Much love!

It’s Harry Potter’s Birthday! You know we had to dress up and celebrate. Misty put together a theme based basket for our monthly drawing for filling questionaires out online before appointments too! It’s magical here today!

Seasonal allergies are rocking our world right now!
If you're in the same boat, I'd recommend a layered approach to treatment. It is rare one single medicine will cut it with the current tree pollens floating around. You can safely give all of the medications listed below, at the same time if you need.

If your child is over the age of 2 years old, they can:
1) Take claritin OR zyrtec once daily (one or the other, NOT both).
2) Use flonase (the generic adult version is fine) 1 spray in each nostril daily - remember to look at your toes to spray your nose!
3) Pataday regular strength eye drops, 1 drop in each eye daily
4) And if that's not working, they may need montelukast, a prescription allergy medication in addition to the above.

Happy Administrative Professional Day to this absolutely wonderful ray-of-sunshine human. Misty brings warmth, compassion and joy to our office every. single. day. Her consistent want to make people's lives better is unmatched and her smile is contagious. She also happens to be one of my most treasured friends which makes coming to work every day that much cooler. Her presence in this office is unparalleled and North River Pediatrics simply would not be the same without her. Thank you Misty!!! ☀️🌈❤️
