What exactly is Manual lymphatic drainage? Happy Summer solstice from Wishie and I! May the longest day of the year bring you the blessings and change you’ve been dreaming up! I am currently dreaming up a new offering for the studio, one that combines massage and dreamy sensory experiences including some of the new techniques I’ve been practicing and add-ons I’ve been offering. It isn’t quite ready but I can’t wait to roll it out soon and be able to offer a more immersive experience! With this change coming as well as offering lymphatic drainage I am also closing my deep tissue massage to new clients at this time. If you are current client (have seen me in the past year, are currently scheduled for deep tissue and/or have a gift certificate) nothing will change for you and I’m happy to keep scheduling our regular sessions I just do not have the space on my schedule to go down the new directions I am going and keep expanding my deep tissue clientele. I hope to see you soon and that your solstice shines bright (even in this rain)

I keep putting off making this post, I want to make it sound nice and convey as much excitement as I feel but then it’s not getting done so here it is! I am introducing a new modality to my practice! Manual lymphatic drainage for post op care. I am excited to be able to work with a new technique and help you get the best results! The certification I received introduced me to specific protocols for post cosmetic surgery and ways to adapt it to other surgeries and general care!

I’ve been working through the artists way and I keep coming back to this section. Paying attention is where we find the capacity for delight. Often my smallest child will stop to pick every flower, look at every interesting blade of grass or leaf, want to examine every bug and I will admit that when I’m trying to make sure we get to school on time it can be tempting to get frustrated by it but what if we took a small lesson from that impulse what if we reminded ourselves of how each flower, each moment held the capacity for delight if we just let ourselves pay attention to what is around us? The Dandelion full of sunshine, the Yarrow bursting out and filling the air with its sweet smell, the ladybug gifting you with landing on your arm. What can we remember from these small moments of tiny, mundane delights?
