Most people know that your core muscles are essential for preventing lower back pain, but did you know they are also crucial for avoiding spinal compression fractures?

With inactivity, the small core muscles can transition from muscle to fat, which decreases their ability to absorb the forces. This can lead to increased loading of the bones, increasing the risk of a compression fracture.
