This week is National Grief Awareness Week. For many, the holidays bring reminders of loss. Grief doesn't disappear because of the season, and you don't have to face it alone.

Here are three gentle ways to cope with grief during the holidays:

1. Memory rituals 🕯️: Light a candle in honor of someone you've lost, create a small memory table or ornament, or write a letter to your loved one.

2. Gentle movement and mindfulness 🚶: Take a short walk outside to ground yourself or practice a guided meditation focused on compassion or letting go.

3. Connection and support 💬: Reach out to a trusted friend or family member to talk or just sit together, or check in with a therapist or counselor.

Grief can feel isolating, but you are never alone. We are here for you. Call 833-736-7900, and we will support you through your grieving process.

Supporting Teens with BPD 💙

Teens with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) may struggle with intense emotions, impulsive behavior and fear of abandonment. Early recognition and treatment, like DBT and family support, can make a big difference.

Signs to look out for: mood swings, risky behavior, self-harm and unstable relationships.

Parents, your support and self-care matter.

Today, on International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day, we honor those living with the pain of losing someone to su***de. Grief can feel heavy, confusing and endless. It can leave behind questions without answers and moments where the world feels permanently changed. If you're carrying that kind of loss, we want you to know this: your pain is real, your love is real and your story matters.

At BHC Alhambra Hospital, we stand with every survivor who wakes up each day and chooses to keep going, even when the weight feels unbearable. If today feels heavy, reach out. Talk to someone. Sit with someone. Let yourself be held by the people who care. Your grief is not something you have to carry in silence.

Call us today or visit http://spklr.io/6185BM9UT if you need support.

Caring for someone struggling with their mental health can feel like a lot to hold. Try starting with what's manageable: have honest, gentle conversations, keep important phone numbers handy and build small moments of rest into your day. These simple steps can make the journey feel less overwhelming and help you stay steady while supporting someone you love.
