Dr. Richards suggests using a nitinol suture passing wire to assist with retrieval. Visualization of the tunnel can be performed arthroscopically to help triangulate the far cortex entry position. Once the nitinol wire is passed, it’s flexible enough to be retrieved with an arthroscopic grasper and replaced with a passing suture.
