Axia Women’s Health providers along with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine continue to support the judicious use of acetaminophen in pregnancy when needed.

Acetaminophen remains safe to use when taken as directed for pain or fever during pregnancy. The most rigorous studies show no causal link between acetaminophen use and autism.

As with any medication, it’s best to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest amount of time and to consult with your Axia Women’s Health provider before taking any new medication. For more information, please view ACOG's FAQ: https://www.acog.org/clinical-information/physician-faqs/acetaminophen-in-pregnancy
