I’ve been keeping a little secret. In May, I had a double umbilical hernia surgery. My core was a mess and it’s taken a long time to become stronger especially in my abdominal muscles. I went into training to become a Barre instructor with PureBarre. I started teaching in July2025. since I have started teaching, as well as taking classes, i have lost 30 pounds, I have lost inches in my waist, hips and thighs, pants and dress sizes. Sometimes in life, we focus too much on weight loss…Let me tell you some of the things that I have gained. I have gained confidence, muscle in places I didn’t even know existed, more upper body strength than I’ve ever had, an incredible community, a better memory, strong core, belief that I am enough as I am. I am also the healthiest I have been in quite a while. I have not only changed physically which is amazing but inside my body is thriving from my diet which goes hand in hand with my active lifestyle. I never thought at 40 I would look like this especially after 3 kids and such a busy life. I have been pairing supplements with my fitness journey at looking amazing physically is only half the battle…you want to feel good inside as well. If you’d like more information, let me know.
