NCSI’s Mission is to inspire and cultivate self-sufficiency in people with disabilities through expanding individual choices for fulfillment and improved quality of life. NCSI is licensed to provide Day Support (formerly Day Training & Habilitation), Employment Development, and Employment Support services. Within Day Support, we have both an Adult and a Senior program; our Adult program is focused on essential life skills, while our Senior program is focused on personally-enriching life skills.

Community providers support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) with a broad array of services from building skills in the home, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, to career planning and employment supports to find and maintain jobs. These community-based services are funded almost exclusively through Medicaid. Congressional leaders are discussing proposals that could significantly reduce Medicaid funding. These cuts would have devastating consequences for people with I/DD. Take action today against proposed Medicaid cuts: ancor.org/amplifier.

On December 18, we culminated two season-long Upstream Arts residencies with “The Art of Me” Performance and Photo Exhibit. Through drumming, dance, theatrical scenes and poetry, artists from our Adult Service took center stage in the midst of an exhibit showcasing portraits of their Senior Service peers.
