I was informed that inaccurate and unethical information was provided to a lady interested in cold cap therapy who is scheduled to undergo her first chemotherapy session tomorrow. She was told that "Penguin would be the only people who could provide capping services for her if she opted to use their product" I have been providing cold cap services for the past six years and deem it essential to clarify this matter. It is important to note that this information is misleading. Patients undergoing chemotherapy can rent cold caps directly from the Penguin Cold Caps website and are not required to use the fitting services of a Penguin Cold Caps representative. You have the right to choose the person who will provide cold capping for you, and it’s important to find someone you trust and feel comfortable with during this process.

"I heard about Stacy through my nurse navigator at Sutter, who told me she would be a great resource and had worked with lots of prior patients at Sutter. The nurses at the downtown Sutter infusion center know her and speak very highly of her.
I chose to have Stacy provide the full cold capping service, which was very reasonably priced. She did everything, including picking up the dry ice, meeting me at the infusion center with the caps and ice socks/gloves ready to go, and coming to my home following treatment to provide the recommended post-capping time. She even got free dry ice (when available) to reduce my costs. She also kept track of the appropriate capping times based on my chemo regimen. The only thing that I did was communicate with my nurse day-of about when the chemo infusion would start so I could inform Stacy.
Stacy is clearly a highly experienced professional. She worked quickly and efficiently, but always made sure to get the cap placement and temperature just right.
The results speak for themselves. I did not have any foot or hand neuropathy, and my hair looked great throughout treatment. I did lose some hair, which is inevitable, but no one would have been able to tell I had lost hair unless they already knew me.
I cannot recommend Stacy highly enough. She was so knowledgeable, experienced, kind, thoughtful, and accommodating, and she made the cold capping process as easy as it could have been."

As many of you know, I help people who are going through cancer minimize chemotherapy-induced hair loss. I love what I do and feel so blessed by all the amazing people I meet. I support the Penguin Cold Caps brand and refer people to this company regularly because I truly believe it is the best product out there for minimizing chemotherapy-induced hair loss. I started cold capping in 2019 after I reached out to Theresa Daniels, the Northern California Rep for Penguin Cold Caps, to express my interest. I worked with Theresa in 2019 and 2020 along with other cappers collectively using the Penguin Cold Caps throughout the Bay Area, Marin, Santa Rosa, and Sacramento. In 2020 I chose to branch out on my own and I continue to help people locally with awareness & services surrounding cold capping and by recommending the Penguin Cold Caps brand.

Unfortunately, I am a victim of social media abuse and have been very aware of this for years. Theresa Daniels has falsely accused me of being a “fraudster” on Facebook in addition to putting this in writing to women I’ve worked with. She verbally attacks me to the people I recommend the product to and claims that I have never worked with her. This is extremely inappropriate and creates doubt and confusion for these wonderful people, who are going through very rough times. It is merely a sad attempt to deter them from using my services. This is all very false and frankly both written and verbal defamation.
I welcomed Theresa into my home where she did cold cap training for myself and one other person. I have capped many ladies under her referral and they would gladly support and validate my work history and work ethic.

I'm writing to formally clear up any misleading and false information that is unfortunately being spread as a means to damage my reputation and my livelihood. I have taken the high road for many years but cannot tolerate any more slander from Theresa Daniels.

I will continue to support the Penguin Cold Caps brand and I will continue to support these amazing people through service & resources to assist them with cold capping.

I am so excited to share and recognize every single one of these amazing strong and fierce fighters who chose to cold cap during chemotherapy. Some of these photos are mid-treatment and some are the "final/final". Each and every single one of these people is a total rock star and ALL of them saved their hair!!
How special is she to get a rainbow out her window on chemo day!

I love what I do ❤️ and I am so grateful for every single one of these people who continue to bless my life !!

October is breast cancer awareness month. I wanted to share some photos of this amazing woman who is kicking cancers butt & just completed her final of 6 rounds of chemotherapy!🎉 🍾🥂
Congratulations, pretty lady!!

As you can see, through cold capping, you truly can save a good portion of your hair 🩷 . It is not recommended to color, cut, or use heat on the hair during the process and with minimal washing ( washing the hair 48 hours before chemo and 72 hours after).
The 2nd photo is her LAST CAP 🥳 & the 3rd photo is after a full day of wearing ice caps continuously, and she still looks beautiful 🥰

I'm on a mission to create awareness and efficacy of Scalp Cooling Therapy, which helps chemotherapy patients retain a good portion of their hair during treatment ( at least 50% of users retain 60% or more of their hair). This amazing process really works and needs to be started on the first day of treatment to see optimal results, so it's very important people know about it before they are faced with this very unfortunate situation.
