Come and see us at this event along with other wonderful organizations and providers!

1 in 2 Americans is affected by a neurological condition at some point in their life. Many of the biggest threats to brain health can be reduced through prevention—staying physically active, eating well, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and treating conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol early.

We invite the community to join us for Brain Health Awareness Day on Thursday, 1/22 from 11 am - 2pm at our downtown campus. Across multiple locations, connect with providers and community partners and learn practical ways to support brain health. Brain health truly starts with us! We hope to see you in 2 weeks! The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance (MNBIA) and the Minnesota Stroke Association (MSA) denounce the violence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and stand in solidarity with affected communities across Minnesota.
For more than 40 years, the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance has served all people of Minnesota, including individuals and families who fled violence, persecution, and instability in their birth countries to make a new home in the United States. Our commitment has always been rooted in dignity, access, and care for every person impacted by brain injury or stroke.
We recognize that moments of social unrest, fear, and uncertainty can be especially difficult to navigate for people living with brain injury, stroke, and other disabilities. Stress, trauma, and instability can intensify symptoms, disrupt recovery, and create additional barriers to safety and supports.
No matter who you are or where you’re from, if you are looking for support after brain injury or stroke, MNBIA and MSA are here for you and your family. Please reach out at 612-378-2742 or 800-669-6442.
We remain committed to providing compassionate, inclusive support and to standing alongside communities experiencing fear, grief, and harm. You are not alone.

NAMI Minnesota acknowledges the fear and stress many in our community are feeling due to recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) involvement in the Twin Cities. This is harming families, people, friends, neighbors, and loved ones—and for some of us, it’s deeply personal.

Given our work supporting people living with mental illness and trauma, we know how situations like this can heighten anxiety, fear, grief, and past trauma.

Please remember that support is available. If fear or stress is affecting you, help is here. Call or text 988, the Crisis and Lifeline. It is free, confidential, and available in Spanish and other languages. NAMI Minnesota also offers online free support groups and classes designed to help navigate stress, trauma, and resilience together.
