I had a dream last night (nightmare) lol...We were at a party or fair of some type with the kids that somehow morphed into being the first day of school. I took Ryker to his classroom but I was still dressed in PJs, no bra and looked a mess. Walked into his classroom which was only school campus in a new, lofted ceiling portable, decorated to the nines. I had to get back to my classroom, which was the same old piece of s**t and still in summer mode with all chairs/desks left in the corner and everything was in storage mode. The kids all entered and I had to teacher sans bra, unbrushed teeth and a classroom in sleep mode!

As a child, the concept of failing forward wasn’t really discussed and I think having better understood what that meant, it would have served me well. I could have tackled learning new things in a different way.

As I have coached many, including myself through mindset shifts in relation to establishing a healthier life style, attaining goals; be it weight loss, healthier eating or an overall lifestyle change, I talk a lot about “failing toward”.

Personal development in the coach world is truly invaluable as it feeds your mind with ways to grind through the muck of challenge. There is no way over it, under; only straight through.

Crimsy girl and I talk about grinding through the muck as she tackles new things. Sometimes it’s going to feel icky. Sometimes it’s going to frustrate the hell out of you but that is where the magic begins.

This little boy always likes to stress me the f*k out.

Yesterday, he got out of the pool and I felt a quarter size lump behind his ear.

Somehow I managed to not jump off a cliff, but rather schedule an appointment ASAP🫣

I jumped down the good ol’ google rabbit hole a bit and lifted some heavy weights because it’s either that, or sedatives!

I found an appointment with a new ped in our network as I have been recently very disenchanted with our current one. She has been having a monologue, failing to recognize I don’t play that game. Bret and I 200% have the final say on our kiddos’ medical decisions.
We even talked about how the messaging of our medical system has really caused such “dis-ease” and he completely sees how it’s made even the most of science believers, skeptics. Anyway, I got an appointment with this guy who is likely 10 years younger than me. Wtf, when did that begin to happen?

Thank the freaking universe, it was a lymph node that was likely the residual for a sub clinical infection.

Sigh. Mommahood is a tough hood.
