Members we are hoping that you take time to help out our negotiations team. There is an important email with instructions about contacting the school board that we could use all of your support on. Let's flood the email of our board members with Why we chose Roseville as well as why we deserve to be compensated fairly for our work.

Congratulations to our three EM-R endorsed candidates for school board-Todd Anderson, Mike Boguszewski and Rose Chu. Also thanks to Brooks Hidaka and Heather Ritz as well as all of our members that helped to spread the word to the voters about who our educators endorsed.

Every Saturday till election day the three candidates that Education Minnesota-roseville has endorsed will be organizing events to campaign for Todd Anderson, Todd Bogusczewski and Rose Chu. AFT Teacher Leaders did amazing work this year:
The AFT Teachers Leaders Program run by RAHS Science Teacher Jodi Kyllonenrecently presented the findings on their action research. There was some amazing work done by these skilled professional leaders.

Steph Scierka did a wonderful presentation on purposeful calendaring.

Mark Jaspers did amazing work on Teacher mental health in district 623.

Lis Moriarty did some wonderful work on workload considerations for ECSE teachers.

Jessica Morgan researched the teacher retention problem as it relates to ISD 623.

Heather Rietz looked at Multi-tiered systems of Support as a model for interventions.

Duccio Mondanelli researched 21st century skills and their implementation with a particular emphasis on SEL skills.

Brooks Hidaka looked at the shortage in Educational Support Staff in the district and how to address it.

and Augustina Borre looked at Sheltered content as a model for EL instruction.

Much of this will be useful for district leadership as well as our union and our Student Support family!
