Every person brings something different to the table, and that’s what makes connection so meaningful. In this clip from our Adulting on the Spectrum webinar, Dr. Benson shares how mutual respect, understanding, and individuality help create a supportive environment where neurodivergent individuals can feel seen and valued.

Spending time alone does not have to feel lonely. Summer can be a great opportunity to reconnect with yourself, explore your interests, and slow down without constant pressure or comparison.

Parenting often starts with regulating ourselves first.

Taking a moment to pause, breathe, and check in with your own emotions can help create calmer and more supportive responses during stressful moments. Progress does not come from being a perfect parent. It comes from being present, reflective, and willing to reset when needed.

Sharing an interesting and eye-opening post that was shared with me by my friend and colleague Marc Kantor. It’s actually an advertisement from the 1960s that promoted Ritalin as a miracle drug for ADHD.

Looking back at how confidently stimulant medications were marketed decades ago is fascinating—and a little unsettling—especially in light of what we now understand about misuse, dependence, and addictive potential. It’s a powerful reminder of how medical narratives evolve over time and why critical thinking, ongoing research, and careful prescribing matter so much.

Worth a read for the historical perspective alone. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts after you’ve seen it.

The caption is: May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health care can look different for everyone, but prioritizing your emotional well-being matters at every stage of life.
Whether it’s setting boundaries, asking for support, taking time to rest, or practicing self-care, small steps can make a meaningful difference.
This month serves as an important reminder to continue reducing stigma, encouraging open conversations, and supporting ourselves and those around us with compassion. 🌱
