Meet the Therapist: Julia Dupree Kappel, M.S. OTR/L
Director of OT Mentorship

Many of you already know and love Julia, but we are excited to highlight the incredible work she does here at Cobblestone Therapy Group. Julia grew up in Marietta, GA and earned her degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Georgia before completing her master’s at Augusta University.

She has experience supporting children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, dysgraphia, and developmental delays. Julia has a special passion for early intervention and feeding therapy. She is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding and the Sensory-Motor Approach to Feeding, and has advanced skills in supporting infants and caregivers experiencing breastfeeding and tethered oral tissue challenges.

Every session with Julia is rooted in play, family involvement, and building confidence. She also leads our OT mentorship program, helping guide and support our growing team of clinicians.

We are so grateful for everything Julia brings to our families and our clinic.

They are currently out of cleaning kits, hygiene kits, and size 6 diapers, and running very low on size 4–7 diapers and 2T–3T/3T–4T pull-ups.

- Other items needed:
Paper towels, dryer sheets, trash bags, laundry soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, toothpaste, deodorant, and more.

- Drop off at Cobblestone by or before 11/14

Meet Vicki Alvarez, M.S., OTR/L – Our Director of Occupational Therapy!

Vicki brings passion, expertise, and heart to every therapy session. With advanced training in feeding therapy, TheraSuit Method®, sensory processing, primitive reflex integration, and executive functioning skills, she helps children gain independence, build confidence, and thrive in their daily lives.

She is dedicated to working one-on-one with children and their families to create meaningful progress, whether it’s improving fine motor skills, handwriting, emotional regulation, or building new play and life skills.

Outside the clinic, Vicki loves spending time with her family, reading, enjoying good food, and dancing whenever fun music comes on.

We are so lucky to have her leading our OT team and if you’ve been considering OT services for your child, now is a great time to reach out and see how Vicki and our amazing team can help!
