Who says shopping isn’t wellness? 🛍️✨

For our senior residents, shopping can be so much more than buying things—it can be therapeutic, nostalgic, and full of joy. Browsing familiar items sparks memories, encourages conversation, and brings back that wonderful sense of independence and choice. 💛

Our recent vendor event was a perfect example—residents truly enjoyed meeting vendors, exploring different items, and sharing lots of smiles and stories along the way. The energy in the room said it all!

Shopping also means having options. Being able to choose what you like or need supports confidence and personal expression at every age. And for those who prefer to stay in, in-house shopping brings all the fun to them—no travel required, just comfort and connection. 🏠

Because wellness comes in many forms… and sometimes, it looks a lot like happy residents enjoying a great shopping day. 😊

Learning something new is so important for our residents—it keeps minds active, builds confidence, and most importantly, brings everyone together. 🧠✨ Recently, we’ve been playing Kollide, and it’s quickly become a favorite! It’s fun, challenging, and definitely keeps everyone on their toes. The concentration, teamwork, and quick thinking it requires are amazing to watch… and yes, it also promotes a LOT of screaming, laughing, and “wait, what just happened?!” moments 😂🎉

Seeing residents step out of their comfort zones, try something new, and have so much fun doing it is what it’s all about. Games like Kollide remind us that learning doesn’t have to be quiet—it can be loud, exciting, and full of joy!

Between all the excitement, our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs… but no complaints here, especially with good ol’ doggy bags coming home with us! 😄

From shepherd’s pie and orange cauliflower to fish & chips and spaghetti and meatballs, there was something delicious for everyone. And the real winner of the day? The strawberry lemonade — crowned the clear favorite! 🍓👑

Full hearts, happy bellies, and leftovers for later… we’ll call that a perfect lunch!
