Cindy Lewis, a Roswell native, opened Comfort Keeper #240 on September 29, 2001 after the passing of her grandfather in 1999. Cindy had traveled back and forth from San Francisco CA to take care of her grandfather in Roswell, and in doing so had found that there was no one to provide the services that he needed. When she moved back to Roswell she was looking for a career change from being a bookkeeper, and found Comfort Keepers through a pop-up ad on the internet. When reading about Comfort Keepers and the services they provided, she saw that they did everything she wanted and was convinced that if they had been around for her grandfather he would have lived a longer and more fulfilled life. Comfort Keeper #240’s first office was in the dining room of Cindy’s home, and within two years it became the number one office in the world out of 650 offices. Cindy’s franchise has now been in business for almost 17 years and has offices in Roswell, Artesia, Carlsbad. Comfort Keeper’s employs certified and non-certified caregivers who have little to no experience all the way to those who have been in the field for years. We provide homemaker/companionship services such as companionship care, cleaning, cooking, transportation to doctor appointments and recreational activities, errands, grocery shopping, and pet care. We also provide personal care services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, bed-bound care and end-of-life care working with hospice. We provide free in-home assessments and care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is someone always available to answer any questions, so call anytime!
