I have had the unbelievable privilege to have 3 AMAZING islands in my life. I was born on the island of Manhattan. For much of my life I grew up on an island in Connecticut called Candlewood Isle on beautiful Candlewood Lake. The third island came a little later in my life.I heard it referred to as garbage the other day . This is NOT a political post so please don’t come for me!! I just wanted to show that Puerto Rico ( last 3 pictures) truly is La isla del Encanto with some of the kindest, sweetest most incredible people & I am so grateful that it is a part of MY story!!!

RIP Beautiful Danna Omari of . I have never had someone have as big of an impact on my work , yet I never met this Goddess in person. I am forever indebted and in AWE of you. You changed EVERYTHING!! There were times I would watch your videos just for the peace that they gave me. May your ethereal soul be at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your beautiful family.❤️❤️

So this is Lisa LaFlamme was the Chief Anchor and senior editor of CTV ( Canadian Television Network). Lisa was let go without notice allegedly because she stopped coloring her hair during the pandemic. If I looked this good with white or gray hair I would stop coloring my hair in a New York Minute!!! Unfortunately for my time and my bank account I do not!!!!
The second picture is the amazing Cindy Joseph who sadly passed away a few years ago. The AMAZING Ms Joseph became a model at about age 50 and made the term “pro aging” for skin care as well as our cultures thoughts on getting older, very popular. The 3rd picture is the Wendy’s mascot in Canada who decided to show its support for Ms LaFlamme by making its red headed mascot have gray hair. Ms LaFlammes firing made me so sad. I have loved being involved in the skincare industry for over 2 decades now. My only fear has been that I have NEVER wanted to be part of a culture that tells women that they are not allowed or are “de-valued” as they got older. My hope has always been to work with people’s skin to help them look and feel their absolute best no matter what age they happen to be. I wish Lisa LaFlamme the best and being that she is a 58 year old BRILLIANT and BEAUTIFUL human being I am certain that we will be hearing and seeing much more from her. I will end with one thought : Do you think that before Walter Cronkite or Tom Brokaw or Anderson Cooper went gray they worried that they might be fired from their job?
