Hello!! Thank you all for taking the time to like and follow this page!
My name is Amber, I married my high school sweetheart. We have been married for almost 18 years and have five wonderful kids. My husband pastors Landmark Baptist Church in Carlsbad. We love serving our church family, and being out in our community.
A little story on why, I’m studying to be a doula and can’t wait to serve our community. I will begin with, when I had our first born almost 17 years ago, I didn’t realize that I could have a voice and a say in my labor and delivery process and thought I had to just do everything as the doctor instructed. Well then my fast forward to baby 3, I began to realize that I had a voice and that I needed to vocalize it to my OBGYN. They would suggest something then I would ask if we could do something else. Long story short, I realized I did have a say in my births. By the time baby 5 came, I was blessed with a Dr that allowed me to labor how I wanted and that they all left me alone until absolutely need them. I did have a wonderful OBGYN for all 4 of my New Mexico babies! Through conversing with other mamas and them not realizing they had a voice, my heart began to hurt for them and their labor experiences. Birth is a beautiful thing!
I want to be there to help them have their desired birth experience and discover their voice.
I will keep you all informed, when I finish my training and officially get it started!
