We have seen an alarming increase in distemper cases in the last few months. Distemper may not be something you know about because it hasn’t been a widespread problem in our area before, but it’s here. There is no cure, only supportive therapy and hope.

The D in our DAPPvL combo vaccine stands for distemper, if your dog is up to date, you’re ok! If your dog is behind or unvaccinated, they are at risk, even as adults. Please make an appointment with us as soon as possible.

Update: we now have power at the clinic and our phone lines are working.

The clinic currently has no power or working phone lines. All animals in our care are safe! Please message us if you need anything.

We’ve already treated bites this season! If you live in our area and your dog ever goes outside, consider our rattlesnake vaccine! Dogs that are bitten still need treatment right away but the vaccine lessens the severity of envenomation and increases their chance for survival. Give us a call 325-735-2491 to set up an appointment 🐍
