Swedish Massage uses gentle strokes to promote relaxation and improve circulation. The primary techniques used in Swedish Massage are: Effleurage- broad gliding strokes, Petrissage- deep kneading, lifting the muscles, and Tapotement- gentle, rhythmic pounding with sides of hands or loose fists to increase blood flow and stimulate the nervous system.
