McMillanDesigns I make blankets, weighted lap pads and therapeutic weighted blankets And so began McMillanDesigns.

A weighted lap pad was recommended by my child's Occupational Therapist to be used as a tool to help with his inattentiveness. After some research on the purpose and benefits of weighted blankets, I began making them for my other children as well as my friend's children.

The blankets I make are made with cotton and flannel fabrics I purchase at local stores. The weight filling is craft pellets, made from high density polyethylene.
