Our eyes are essential to the work we do every day. Whether we’re working at a computer, on a job site, outdoors, or in a shop. Taking a few simple steps can help protect your vision and prevent eye strain or injury.

For screen users:
• Follow the 20-20-20 rule – Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
• Adjust screen brightness and reduce glare.
• Blink often and take short breaks.

For outdoor and hands-on work:
• Wear proper safety glasses or goggles when required.
• Use UV-protective sunglasses when working outdoors.
• Keep protective eyewear clean and in good condition.
• Report eye hazards and always follow workplace safety guidelines.

For everyone:
• Never rub your eyes if debris gets in them, flush with clean water.
• Know where eye wash stations are located.
• Schedule regular eye exams.

We are celebrating a HUGE milestone!
Happy 20 year anniversary to our front desk supervisor Monica!

Twenty years of dedication and leadership. You’ve been the calm in the chaos, the friendly face our patients count on, and the glue that keeps everything running smoothly.

Your work ethic, loyalty, and genuine care for both our team and our patients do not go unnoticed. You’ve helped shape this office into what it is today, and we are so lucky to have you leading the way.

Thank you for two decades of hard work, commitment, and heart. Here’s to you and this incredible milestone!

Happy 5th work anniversary to Haley! She is our amazing technician in our Georgetown location. Her favorite part about her job is the one on one time she gets with patients and being able to work closely with Dr. Stone because she still learns something new every day despite being in the field for this long. Congratulations Haley, we are so lucky to have you here at Eye Associates! 🌟

February is AMD Awareness Month.
Age-related macular degeneration can affect central vision and often has no early symptoms, and routine comprehensive eye exams help detect changes early.

Congratulations to Pacha on her first work anniversary! Here's what she had to say when asked about what her first year was like:

The best part of my job is the people. I’m surrounded by coworkers who feel more like family - supportive, kind, and always willing to lift each other up. Working alongside doctors who show such genuine compassion and exceptional care for their patients makes every day meaningful. Being part of a team that truly cares, not just about the work but about people, is what makes this job so special to me

What I learned:

When I first started this job, my knowledge was focused almost entirely on Retina, and Cornea was completely new territory for me. Over the past year, I’ve learned so much, gaining a deeper understanding of cornea care and is able to assist with Light Adjustable Lens treatments as well. This experience has helped me grow both professionally and confidently, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to expand my skills and knowledge in ways I never expected when I first began
