Our eyes are essential to the work we do every day. Whether we’re working at a computer, on a job site, outdoors, or in a shop. Taking a few simple steps can help protect your vision and prevent eye strain or injury.

For screen users:
• Follow the 20-20-20 rule – Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
• Adjust screen brightness and reduce glare.
• Blink often and take short breaks.

For outdoor and hands-on work:
• Wear proper safety glasses or goggles when required.
• Use UV-protective sunglasses when working outdoors.
• Keep protective eyewear clean and in good condition.
• Report eye hazards and always follow workplace safety guidelines.

For everyone:
• Never rub your eyes if debris gets in them, flush with clean water.
• Know where eye wash stations are located.
• Schedule regular eye exams.

Happy 5th work anniversary to Haley! She is our amazing technician in our Georgetown location. Her favorite part about her job is the one on one time she gets with patients and being able to work closely with Dr. Stone because she still learns something new every day despite being in the field for this long. Congratulations Haley, we are so lucky to have you here at Eye Associates! 🌟
