Guess which soap we use at home in the summer. We use this in the shower and it’s soothing and cleansing and gentle and even a bit cooling. I’m very proud of our newest formulation. It was a happy MISTAKE!! we were trying to make a shampoo bar, but it didn’t work as well as we hoped for all types of hair. We loved the base and sent and formulation so much that we added three powerfully cooling herbs and made it into our HERBAL ICE 🧊. ❤️🤩

Adhesive rash!! 🤕 We got wonderful pictures from a colleague who had a chemo port removed. Under the bandages there was a red angry rash from the adhesives. She knew what to do!! We had a very busy Monday!! Orders came in from 14 Whole Foods stores in our region equaling 252 bars of soap and a dozen liquid soap. Plenty of people are going to have super soothed and clean skin all around New England. If you have sensitive skin, eczema, psoriasis etc soap can play a huge role. Most soaps are harsh and too drying for people with these problems. That’s why we made soap formulated especially to be gentle, not harsh or drying. I was going through the pockets of an old bag I used to carry 17 years ago. I was going store to store, door to door. I had no idea what I was doing. Just making it up as I went. Going into stores, telling the story, leaving some info and samples. They didn’t know what to make of me! It was fun. 🤩 At the time I never would have imagined how big it would get, how wide it would spread, how many products we’d create, MOST IMPORTANTLY—how many hundreds of thousands we’d help, and that we’d still be doing this 18 years later.

“My cat had surgery and half of her right side was shaved to the midline of her back. I kept her in a protective shirt during recovery so she wouldn’t lick or bite at the sutures. I would brush her occasionally to remove loose fur, but since she couldn’t properly groom that area for a few weeks, she had a dry, flaky skin patch on her back when the surgical shirt came off. I applied the Furry Friend Soother twice in a day, and the next day the dry, flaky patch was gone. Here’s step 3 of making our bar soap. After we cook the herbs and make the base it is poured into large rectangular molds. When it hardens enough it is cut into these long blocks. It needs to harden again before we cut it into bars and then wrap it. The process takes weeks for every batch, but it’s worth it. Our soaps are made for people with sensitive skin and are powered by skin soothing herbs. If you use our balms but haven’t combined them with our soaps you may be missing a big piece of the puzzle. Regular soap can easily make dry and sensitive skin worse. Ours are formulated to help and be gentle and soothing.
