🚑❤️ PERSON COUNTY EMS IS GOING FOR A CPR WORLD RECORD! ❤️🚑

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Person County Emergency Services is partnering with the RACE-CARS Trial out of Duke University in an attempt to help train 30,000 people in Hands-Only CPR across 30 counties in North Carolina.

And we want YOU to be part of it.

On Thursday, County offices will open at 10 a.m. (PATS will begin operations at 8 a.m., if road conditions permit.) A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Mixed precipitation with below-freezing temperatures is expected overnight, and roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous.

Due to last week’s ice, this weekend’s snow and extremely cold temperatures, primary and secondary roads are currently snow and ice covered. Lows will be in the teens tonight, so County Offices will be closed tomorrow to allow for more time to clear roads and to minimize hazardous travel.
