Preoperative chemotherapy for breast cancer can significantly shrink the size of the tumor and metastatic lymph nodes before surgery. Breast surgery thus has the possibility of avoiding the complete removal of lymph nodes in the armpit and reducing the risk of stressful side effects such as lymphedema of the arm.

The Organic Oasis offers Lymphatic Drainage & Complete Decongestive Therapy, as well as a number of massage therapies and body treatments to clients in both North Carolina and Virginia. Owner, Tammy Nichols, is a Nationally Certified Lymphedema Therapist who works with clients to develop individual plans of care to support their needs. Many people have not have heard of Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) before, but it is a useful treatment for a wide range of symptoms!
