💖 Every woman in Indiana deserves the best chance to stay healthy and strong. While breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the state, early detection can make all the difference — boosting survival rates to nearly 99% when caught early.

That’s why Parkview Health Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography is bringing care directly to communities across northeast Indiana. Their new 40-foot mobile coach offers free, on-site 3D mammograms — making screenings easier and more accessible than ever before.

🚐 With stops at 250 locations in 15 counties, they’re meeting women where they are, so no one has to face this journey alone.

✨ It’s more than a mammogram. It’s hope. It’s empowerment. It’s a lifesaving opportunity.

“Mobile mammography brings lifesaving care directly to the women who need it most, breaking down barriers and giving every woman a fighting chance,” says Dr. Alan Yahanda, MD, FACS, president of the Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute.

This is the power of mobile health: care that moves, reaches, and creates lasting impact.

In Montana, where nearly 1 in 7 adults skip medical care due to cost and rural areas face severe provider shortages, nurses are stepping up with innovative solutions.

Leading the way is ’s new Mobile Health Unit — a clinic on wheels staffed by nursing faculty and students, delivering health screenings, education, and mental health support right where people are: school parking lots, community events, and local fairs.

It’s more than care. It’s a mobile classroom — preparing the next generation of nurses with hands-on experience and a deep commitment to community health.

Join us today as we honor Black communities on — a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the enduring fight for justice.

This day is a time to reflect on progress made and the work still ahead. Many Black communities continue to face barriers to healthcare, from limited access to providers to experiencing racial bias that has created deep gaps in access and trust.

Mobile clinics play a vital role in breaking down these barriers — bringing care directly to the community, listening without judgment, and building long-term relationships grounded in respect and healing.

At Mobile Health Map, we’re proud to support the clinics advancing health and healing in Black communities every day.

In rural Ohio, access to care isn’t just inconvenient — it’s a serious challenge. Long drives, provider shortages, and steep costs prevent farmers and their families from getting the checkups and treatment they need.

That’s why the Ohio Northern University Mobile Health Clinic is such a game-changer. At last year’s Farm Science Review, the 38-foot clinic on wheels was packed with people who hadn’t seen a doctor in years — many with urgent health concerns.

“I was glad we were there,” said clinic coordinator Michael Rush. “Several people had concerns that simply weren’t being addressed yet.”

With primary care, vaccines, screenings, and more, the clinic brings compassionate, no-cost care directly to the people who need it most — right where they are.

Mobile clinics like this one are proving what’s possible: when care comes to the community, people get healthier.

Nearly 1 in 6 students face mental health challenges early in life, and in today’s post-COVID world, those struggles have only grown. Issues like social isolation and changes in behavior are becoming more common, but getting help isn’t always easy. Long waitlists, missed school, and stigma can keep kids from the care they need.

That’s why Baptist Health Richmond teamed up with Madison County Schools to bring mental health care directly to students through a mobile clinic. This innovative approach means licensed therapists come right to the school, providing private and secure counseling, emotional support, and evaluations during the school day — no appointments missed, no extra travel needed.

Early access to mental health support is crucial. It helps young people build coping skills, understand themselves better, and prevent bigger challenges down the road. Mobile clinics like this break down barriers by embedding care into the community where kids already are.

This program in Kentucky is a powerful example of how mobile health is transforming behavioral health access — making mental wellness a part of everyday life and building healthier futures for youth and communities everywhere.

🎥 “The Future of Healthcare Is Mobile.” At Mobile Health Map, we believe it. We live it. We love it.

In this powerful TEDxPSU Talk, Dr. Michael McShane, assistant professor at Penn State College of Medicine, shares how the Lion Mobile Clinic is transforming healthcare in rural Pennsylvania.

With clinics closing and hospitals disappearing, Penn State students and faculty are hitting the road — bringing screenings, support, and hope straight to people like Roger, an 80-year-old facing loss, poverty, and chronic illness.

This talk reaffirms what we already know: the future of healthcare lives beyond clinic walls. Mobile clinics meet people where they are — delivering not just medical care, but connection, resources, and the support people need to take control of their health.

In Dr. McShane’s words, this is “tailgate medicine.” This is community-powered care.
