Our Mission
The Resiliency Project is a mind and body wellness program offered for the staff of the Brigham and Women’s NICU. We aim to provide the staff with an experience that allows them to take 15 minutes out of their day to re-center and focus on themselves. In healthcare it is far too common for those providing the care to sacrifice their own well-being for the health of others, we now know that this lead to burnout, and compassion fatigue. How can we expect health care staff to provide loving and caring compassion to their patients, if they are not caring for themselves? The goal of the Resiliency Project is to empower the staff to take time for themselves, by doing this, they restore and rejuvenate, leaving them with a better mind set to deal with the stressful environment that is the NICU.
