✨ Sometimes the universe sends us reminders right when we need them most. Recently, one of my clients shared a heartfelt testimonial with me, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Their words not only touched me deeply but also reminded me of why I do this work and the impact it can have. I’d love to share their message with you, in hopes it inspires and uplifts you too. 💛

“I’ve been working with Sheri for over five years, and she has truly changed my life. When I first came to her, I was struggling dating. I learned that I was dealing with anxious attachment, low self-worth, and repeating patterns in relationships that left me feeling unseen and overwhelmed.

Sheri’s style is empathic and brave — she creates a safe space while also being honest and challenging in the best way. She doesn’t just listen; she pushes you to think differently, to face hard truths, and to grow beyond the patterns that keep you stuck. That mix of compassion and courage has shifted my thinking entirely for the better.

Because of her, I’ve learned tools that I carry into every part of my life — building boundaries in relationships, work, and family, trusting myself, and moving through relationship dynamics with more clarity and balance. I feel more secure and grounded than I ever imagined I could.

What I love most is that as I’ve grown, Sheri has continued to grow with me. That’s why I keep seeing her — she meets me at every stage of my journey.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is wise, honest, and truly invested in your growth, I couldn’t recommend Sheri more.”💜

🌳✨ Ever hugged a tree? It might sound a little “out there,” but the benefits are real—and powerful.

When you wrap your arms around a tree, you’re not just connecting with nature, you’re grounding yourself. Studies show that being in close contact with trees and plants can lower stress, boost mood, and even improve focus. Hugging a tree slows you down, regulates your breathing, and creates a sense of calm in your body.

Trees have been standing tall for hundreds even thousands of years. They carry wisdom in their roots, resilience in their bark, and patience in their branches. When we pause to hug a tree, we borrow a little bit of that strength. 🌿💚

So next time you’re out for a walk, don’t just pass by stop, take a breath, and give a tree a gentle hug. You might be surprised how much lighter and more grounded you feel afterward.

👉 Have you ever hugged a tree? Share your experience below I’d love to hear! 🌱

“What is your experience in therapy like?……”

A lot of people think therapy is just about talking through the tough stuff… but it’s also about celebrating the wins and the growth along the way. 🌱💪

💬 Something I hear often from clients:
“I wasn’t sure what I was going to talk about today… but then I realized I’ve actually grown a lot.”

Sometimes the best part of therapy is realizing:
👉 “Wow, I don’t react the same way I used to.”
👉 “I handled that situation so differently than before.”
👉 “I’m actually proud of how far I’ve come.”

Therapy isn’t only about what went wrong it’s also a space to notice what’s going right. 💖

✨ So share with me—what’s one way you’ve noticed yourself growing lately?

Work stress is real—and you’re not alone! Many of my clients lately have shared how unhappy or unsatisfied they feel in their jobs.

🌿 Quick Self-Care Tips for Work Stress:
✔ Take micro-breaks (stretch, walk, breathe)
✔ Set clear boundaries with work hours & notifications
✔ Bring small joys into your day (music, a kind coworker, a cozy item)
✔ Remember: your job is what you do, not who you are

💭 Question to reflect on: What’s one thing you do to recharge after work?

✨ In Session with Sheri ✨

Lately, I’ve noticed a theme coming up in my sessions—many of my clients have shared how hard it is to stay motivated and believe that things will happen for them. When life feels heavy, hope can seem far away. 🌱

But here’s the truth: hope isn’t about pretending everything’s fine. It’s about believing there’s something on the other side of the struggle. It’s the quiet voice that says, “Keep going. This isn’t the end of your story.”

Here are a few ways to nurture hope, even when it feels hard:

💡 Break it down – Focus on just the next step, not the whole staircase.

📝 Write it out – Journaling can help shift your perspective and spark gratitude.

🤝 Reach out – Talk to someone who can hold hope for you when you can’t.
🌤 Collect small wins – Notice the little things that go right, no matter how tiny.

💖 Feed your spirit – Listen to music, read uplifting stories, or spend time in nature.

Hope isn’t fragile—it’s a muscle. The more you work it, the stronger it becomes. Keep going. You’re building something beautiful, even if you can’t see it yet. 🌟

“What would your life look like if fear didn’t get the final say?”

In the last two weeks, almost every client I’ve worked with has shared some version of the same story—

“I feel stuck. I want to move forward, but I’m afraid.”

Whether it’s a career change, a relationship decision, or just speaking up for themselves… fear is quietly running the show. And if that’s where you are right now, I want you to know you’re not alone.

Fear is a natural part of being human but when it starts to shape your choices, shrink your confidence, or keep you from moving forward, it’s time to check in.

Here’s how fear might be showing up in your life:
• 😰 Avoiding decisions because you’re scared of making the “wrong” one
• 🌀 Overthinking or second-guessing yourself constantly
• 🚪 Saying no to opportunities that secretly excite you
• 🛑 Feeling frozen, stuck, or unsure how to take the next step

When fear takes over, it can feel like you’re trapped. But fear doesn’t have to be the enemy it can be a messenger. The key is learning how to respond to it instead of letting it run the show.

💡 Here are a few things you can try when fear shows up:
• 🌬 Breathe deeply — Try slow, steady breathing to calm your body and reset your nervous system.
• ✍️ Name the fear — Get specific. What exactly are you afraid of? Naming it gives you power over it.
• 📓 Journal it out — Ask yourself: What am I really afraid of? What’s more likely to happen?
• 🧍‍♀️ Take one small action — You don’t need to do it all at once. Just one brave step at a time.
• 🤝 Talk to someone you trust….Whether it’s a therapist, friend, or support group, you don’t have to carry it alone.

✨ You’re not weak for feeling afraid. You’re human. And you’re allowed to grow even in the presence of fear.

If fear is holding you back from the life you want, let’s talk about it because healing starts when you’re willing to face it, gently and with support.

🌿 Embracing Change: 3 Steps to Help You Move Your “Cheese” 🌿

Change can feel unsettling—even overwhelming. Whether it’s a life transition, emotional shift, or unexpected curveball, it often brings up fear, resistance, or grief for what used to be.

One of my favorite books, Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, uses a simple story to illustrate a profound truth: clinging to the way things were keeps us stuck, while openness to change leads us to new opportunities.

If you’re working through change, here are 3 steps to help you move forward with intention:

1. Acknowledge What You’re Feeling
Change stirs up emotions—fear, sadness, even anger. Give yourself permission to feel. Naming your emotions without judgment is the first step toward healing.

2. Get Curious, Not Critical
Instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?” try asking, “What is this trying to show me?” Curiosity opens the door to growth, even in discomfort.

3. Take One Small Step
You don’t have to have it all figured out. Just take one step—however small—toward what feels healthy, meaningful, or aligned with who you’re becoming. Momentum builds from movement.

Change is a process, not a switch. And therapy can be a supportive space to explore that journey at your own pace.

✨ What kind of “cheese” are you searching for right now?

I know I don’t post much on my professional page, but this story touched my heart!

🌿 The Hidden Wounds of Bullying: Especially for the Sensitive Soul 🌿

Bullying can leave lasting scars on anyone, but for the sensitive person—the one who feels deeply, notices subtleties, and often internalizes pain—the effects can run even deeper.

Being repeatedly misunderstood, ridiculed, or excluded can lead to long-term struggles with self-worth, anxiety, perfectionism, or people-pleasing. Many sensitive individuals learn to suppress their true selves just to stay safe or be accepted.

If this speaks to your experience, know this: your sensitivity is not a flaw. It’s a strength. But healing from the wounds of bullying takes time, self-compassion, and often support.

💬 In therapy, we gently untangle the shame, rebuild self-trust, and reconnect you to the parts of yourself you had to hide to survive.

You deserve to be seen, heard, and valued—just as you are. 💛

The holidays can be such a whirlwind—filled with to-do lists, last-minute shopping, and endless responsibilities. It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos and let the season slip by without truly feeling it.

But here’s the thing: the heart of the holidays isn’t in the gifts we wrap or the meals we prepare. It’s in the moments we share. It’s the laughter over an old family story, the warmth of a hug from a dear friend, or simply sitting together and being present.

So, amidst the busyness, let’s remember to pause. Reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while, spend an evening connecting with loved ones, or even just let yourself savor the simple joys of togetherness.

Because when all is said and done, it’s the connections that make the season bright. Wishing you all a holiday filled with love, joy, and meaningful moments! ❤️

To a happy holiday season and a fabulous new year !
