The library is hosting a community hijab and scarf swap on Saturday, April 25 at the Caroline Kennedy Library from 12:30-4:30 pm . Throughout the month, patrons may bring in clean, gently used hijabs and scarves that they no longer wear to the Circulation Desk. The number of items donated will be marked down and on the swap day, patrons will be given the same amount of tickets as the amount donated. During swap hours patrons can exchange tickets for “new-to-you” pieces—one item per ticket. This program promotes sustainability, community sharing and an opportunity to refresh your collection at no cost. Open to all ages, but children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
