One of my goals for 2026 was to post more content here, but when the news the first week of the year is so bleak, there’s not much else to say besides this.

I’ve had to remind myself to get offline a few times this week. Do what you can and then know when to stop. We will get through things together.

Oh my, I haven’t made a post all year! 🫣 Whoops!

Well to be fair, a couple months ago I thought I wasn’t going to use IG anymore and hastily made a bluesky account… that I haven’t opened again 🤷‍♀️

Anyway, we have some big changes happening, starting with our move to a bigger office! We are still above 515 Drag Queen Bingo in Royal Oak, but when you come up the main staircase off of sixth street, we are now in the first office on the right, suite 201.

We hope you’ll be comfortable in our new space!

My EHR gave me a Spotify wrapped type of review today, so I thought I’d post it! Fun to see everything laid out this way.

Some other highlights from 2024:

~Hannah added another day to our practice (she is still accepting new clients!)
~We moved our office
~We continued to make connections through our networking group
~We continued learning and growing as clinicians

Especially if you’re new to therapy, it might feel uncomfortable opening up about all your thoughts and feelings with a therapist right away! Even if your therapist makes you feel safe, even if you start opening up about some things, you may not be ready to open up about big issues right at the start.

Remember, it’s a therapeutic RELATIONSHIP, which takes time to develop. Hopefully the more you open up the more positive feedback you will get, which makes it easier to open up even more. And if you ever feel unsafe or invalidated by your therapist, that’s a thing you can open up to them about as well! They deserve that feedback in order to repair and keep building a relationship with you.
