🎉 Happy 102nd Birthday Frank! 🇺🇸🎂
Frank has lived an incredible life full of history, service, and heart.
He came to the United States through Ellis Island, where immigration officials misspelled his last name. While he kept the original spelling, that small moment in history led to different branches of the family carrying different versions of the name, a unique legacy of the American immigrant experience.
Frank proudly served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was deployed to the Philippines after being drafted into the infantry. He was honored to serve and help others, but he was grateful to return home when it was over.
Over the years, Frank worked a variety of jobs in construction and bartending but spent most of his career as a print operator at the Safrat Company. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Helen. According to Frank, they simply “made life together.”
On turning 102, he said he never thought he’d live this long, now he knows anything is possible. Today he enjoyed the cake presented to him by our pastry chef, calling it “delicious,” and was touched by all the residents gathering around to sing him “Happy Birthday.” It made the day truly special.
Here’s to 102 remarkable years.
Happy Birthday, Uncle Frank! 🥳💙
