Sometimes stress doesn't announce itself. It shows up quietly β and we want to help you recognize it.
When your body senses stress, it releases a flood of hormones like adrenaline and cortisol. Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises and breathing quickens. In the short term, this is your body protecting you. But over time, it takes a toll.
Stress can look like:
π§ Mentally: Racing thoughts, trouble concentrating, forgetfulness or feeling mentally "foggy."
π Emotionally: Irritability, anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, withdrawing from people you care about.
π« Physically: Headaches, jaw clenching or teeth grinding, neck and shoulder tension, rapid or shallow breathing and disrupted sleep.
πΆ Behaviorally: Changes in appetite, leaning on unhealthy coping habits, or simply feeling like you're "going through the motions."
You might be stressed and not even realize it β physical signs of stress can often go unnoticed. Being curious about how you're really feeling is the first step.
If any of this resonates, you deserve support. π
