Skywood Outpatient

Skywood Outpatient We have a new name: Skywood Outpatient. We provide integrated treatment and recovery. Skywood Outpatient is proud to be a member of Foundations Recovery Network.

With three separate locations in Royal Oak, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, We provide integrated treatment and recovery support targeted specifically to individuals with co-occurring addiction and mental health concerns, drawing both Michiganders and those from across the country. At Skywood Outpatient, we seek to meet people right where they are, creating a plan to help them move forward in health. From free confidential assessments and physician-directed medication management to a diverse schedule of therapies, integrated educational sessions and holistic approaches, everything we do is based on a continuum of care. Employing Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, EMDR, and other proven methods, we walk with patients using a stages-of-change approach. Specialty groups offer nutrition and wellness education, family sessions and supportive therapy for trauma, grief, loss and anger management, allowing patients to customize their care to address their unique needs. The caring staff at Skywood Outpatient foster a compassionate and restorative environment that includes a yoga room, a patient lounge with games, snacks, and coffee, and access to on-site recovery meetings. As patients gain knowledge about the addiction process and themselves, they are empowered to live a life of long-term recovery and become the people they were always meant to be. Physicians are on the medical staff of Skywood Outpatient, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Skywood Outpatient. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. Model representations of real patients are shown. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Please contact your physician, or in case of emergency, call 911 or the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 988. Please visit our website for language assistance, disability accommodations, the non-discrimination notice, Terms of Service and other important disclaimers.

Random Acts of Kindness Week 🤍

Recovery is built on small moments. A kind word. A shared story. A cup of coffee after a meeting. Someone saying, “I’m proud of you.”

During Random Acts of Kindness Week, we’re reminded that healing often starts with something simple — kindness.

In recovery, a random act of kindness can look like:
✨ Checking in on someone who’s newly sober
✨ Offering a ride to a meeting
✨ Sharing your story
✨ Dropping off a journal or encouragement note
✨ Simply listening without judgment

You never know when your small gesture could be the reason someone keeps going today.
Kindness costs nothing — but in recovery, it can mean everything. Let’s flood our community with compassion this week. Who can you encourage today? 💛

Tip Tuesday - Engage in Self-Care 🌿

Self-care isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. It can look like setting boundaries, taking a pause, asking for help or simply giving yourself permission to rest. Even small moments of care can help reset your nervous system and restore balance.

Try this today:
🚪 Step away when you need to.
🧠 Check in with yourself.
💛 Do one thing that supports you.

Self-care is an ongoing practice, not a reward you have to earn.

02/16/2026

Today is Presidents Day — and whether you have the day off from work, school or just a lighter schedule — take it as a gentle reminder to: Pause. Slow down. Breathe deeply. Reset.

We move through life constantly giving to others — our families, our jobs our communities. Today, give a little back to you. Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. It can be simple, intentional, and meaningful:
✨ Sleep in without guilt
✨ Take a long walk outside and get some fresh air
✨ Journal your thoughts and set intentions for the week
✨ Read a few chapters of a book just for fun
✨ Schedule that appointment you’ve been putting off
✨ Try a new workout — or stretch and unwind with yoga
✨ Call someone who fills your cup
✨ Take 10 quiet minutes to simply breathe

Rest is productive.
Pausing is powerful.
Exhaling is necessary.
However you spend today, let it include at least one thing that supports your mind, body, or spirit.
You deserve it. 💛
