📣Acting Classes Starting Up Next Week in Wellington! 👇😃🎭🎬🎶

Upcoming Acting Classes at Wellington Community Center

The classes will run from October 22 to November 26, on Tuesdays and will focus on the skills needed in theatre and acting including vocabulary, stage direction, memorization, cold reading, and character development. Theatre games and improv will help participants get to the next level with the acting process.

Youth Stars: 5-9yrs Tuesday 4:00-5:00 PM.

Teen Stars: 10-17yrs Tuesday 5:00-6:00 PM.

Lights, Camera, Audition:
All ages
Tuesday 6:00-7:00 PM

Residents $75
Non-Residents $93

Class age groups may be adjusted based on experience at instructors discretion.

Theatre Arts Productions-TAP in partnership with the Village of Wellington is presenting three performances of the family friendly musical Mean Girls Jr., at the Wellington Amphitheater. The musical includes lessons about friendship, authenticity, and accountability.�
Mean Girls Jr., is the hilarious hit musical from an award-winning creative team including book writer Tina Fey. This Theatre Arts Production is Directed by Jaycie Cohen and Marlo Cohen, Choreographer Jaycie Cohen with Musical Direction by Zailyn Martinez.

With immense energy, a wicked sense of humor and joyful inside-jokery this local production featuring a talented local cast will leave you in stitches and wanting more!
�Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. Soon, this naïve newbie falls prey to a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina's reign, she learns the hard way that you can't cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Rain or shine the cast will present three total performances. The first performance will be Friday August 16, followed by performances on Saturday August 17 and Sunday August 18. All performances begin at 7:30. Seating is provided but lawn chairs are allowed.

Description: This class combines drama games and mock on-camera auditions to give the actors creativity and confidence while providing them with hands-on knowledge of the on-camera audition process. They will leave class knowing what is expected of them in an on-camera audition, and how to have fun while being successful.
Marlo can relate to actors, because she has been on both sides of the fence, as an actor and currently working as a Talent Manager with Mercury Entertainment. Her classes are known to be far more in depth than a typical acting class. She will challenge the students to look at how on camera acting may differ from live performances. She also realizes they want to have some fun. She incorporates stories and experiences and doesn’t just teach someone else’s method.
Subject matter and games are specific to each age group.you can register in advance and the community center or at the first class.
