🎉 Celebrating 64 years of life and wisdom today! 🎉 But even more importantly, I want to share five things I wish women knew about working out during and after menopause:

1. *Strength Training is Non-Negotiable* 💪 – As we age, maintaining muscle mass becomes crucial for strength, balance, and bone density. Building muscle is the best way to prevent osteoporosis and stay strong.

2. *High-Intensity Cardio is NOT the Holy Grail* 🏃‍♀️ – I know the fitness world can make you think you need to crush HIIT every day, but the truth is, long sessions of intense cardio can break down muscle and leave you feeling burnt out. Focus on what serves your body best!

3. *Rest is Just as Important as Workouts* 🛌 – Don’t underestimate the power of sleep and recovery. Menopause can throw off your hormones, making recovery even more important than before.

4. *It’s Never Too Late to Start* ⏳ – You’re never too old to get stronger or fitter. Menopause is just the beginning of a new chapter, not the end of your fitness journey!

5. *Diet Plays a Huge Role* 🥗 – It’s not just about calories; it’s about giving your body the right fuel. Balance your macros, eat plenty of whole foods, and prioritize protein to keep that muscle and metabolism working for you.
