Think of your blood vessels like garden hoses carrying water. Normally, the water (blood) flows through smoothly at just the right pressure to keep your body’s organs healthy. But with high blood pressure, it’s as if the water pressure in that hose is turned up too high.

At first, the hose can handle it. But over time, the extra force makes the hose walls stiffen, weaken, or spring leaks. In your body, that means your heart, brain, kidneys, and eyes are under more strain than they should be. This extra stress can eventually lead to serious problems like heart disease, kidney damage, or stroke even if you don’t feel anything wrong in the moment.

Support Our Middle School Athletes: Help Them Gear Up for Success!

Our young athletes at Baley Middle School give their all on the field, court, and track—but they need your help to compete at their best!

This year, the kids are raising funds to purchase new athletic gear so our kids can play with pride, confidence, and safety. Every dollar raised will go directly toward essential items like:

✔️ New uniforms that fit and make our athletes feel like champions
✔️ Quality equipment to keep our teams competitive
✔️ Proper training gear to improve performance and prevent injuries

Your donation—big or small—makes a difference! By contributing, you’re not just providing uniforms and equipment—you’re investing in our students’ confidence, teamwork, and school spirit.

Let’s show these young athletes that their hard work matters and that our community stands behind them!

Donate today and help us give our middle school teams the start they deserve.

We are very excited about our 2025 Baley Athletics Fundraiser! We appreciate your support as we raise the funds needed to provide our athletes with a fantastic experience. Thank you in advance for supporting our fundraiser as well as helping us share our campaign through text, email and social media...

The dreaded stomach bug is on the rise. Here are some tips to avoid infection:

1. Practice Good Hand Hygiene
• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after:
• Using the bathroom or changing diapers.
• Touching high-contact surfaces like doorknobs or shared items.
• Preparing or eating food.
• Hand sanitizers may not be effective against norovirus, so soap and water are best.

2. Handle Food Safely
• Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly before eating.
• Cook seafood and shellfish (e.g., oysters) to the proper internal temperature to kill any viruses.
• Avoid preparing food for others if you are sick or have been recently ill with norovirus (wait at least 48 hours after symptoms stop).

3. Clean and Disinfect Surfaces
• Use a bleach-based cleaner or a disinfectant proven to kill norovirus.
• Pay attention to frequently touched surfaces, such as countertops, door handles, and faucets.
• Wash soiled laundry immediately using hot water and detergent. Handle contaminated laundry carefully to avoid spreading the virus.

4. Practice Social Distancing When Sick
• Stay home if you’re ill to avoid spreading the virus to others.
• Avoid sharing personal items like utensils, cups, or towels.

5. Be Cautious in Outbreak Situations
• Norovirus often spreads quickly in crowded environments, such as schools, nursing homes, cruise ships, and restaurants. Follow public health advice during outbreaks.

The latest government data shows that cases of a fast-spreading stomach bug are surging in parts of the United States.

OPEN TO THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY! COME OUT TODAY!
NO IMAGING ORDER REQUIRED & YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A PATIENT WITH OUR CLINIC!

Hunt Regional Mobile Mammography Bus is parked outside of our clinic today! We encourage anyone in need of breast cancer screening (females that are 40 and above) to come on over and get your annual mammogram.

Breast cancer is not picky. It is a common misconception that you have to have a family history - you do not. Screening saves lives. Insurance covers the 3D mammogram 100% as a preventive service. There is also a cash pay option and also resources available for those that are uninsured that are in need of assistance. Please come out and get your pair screened today!

Dedicated to serving our community, and partnering with you for your healthcare.

Jones & Sandknop Family Practice

What I love and cherish most about my work are the interactions with my patients and my staff. Every patient that walks through the door....somehow becomes part of our lives and we become part of theirs. It is almost like we’ve known each other forever, or at least that’s the feeling I get most of the time. My greatest reward as a family practitioner is the development of these caring relationships - it is in a relationship, such as that, that we both understand the concern we have for one another...and in that we can work together to develop the best plan of care for a healthy life. - Lauren Jones
