The Beacon Wellness Center is happy to have Kate Bowen from Delta State University with us as an intern.
“In high school, I attended Canton Academy where I played tennis, basketball, softball, and ran track. I have attended Delta State for all four years. I have stayed involved at Delta State by being a member of Kappa Delta, an orientation leader, a member of the honors college, ODK, and holding positions such as president of association of future health care professionals. I have also represented Delta State on homecoming court all 4 years.
I am looking forward to increasing my knowledge and skills at the Beacon Wellness Center. I am excited to get hands on experience with cardiac rehabilitation and personal training. I hope to encourage both patients and clients.
I will be attending Oklahoma University for their Physical Therapy program in June.”
We are super excited to have Kate here working with us and developing as she prepares for her career! She has a vast knowledge of exercises, exercise concepts, and tips for a healthy lifestyle. Come by and visit our new intern Kate Bowen!!

The Beacon Wellness center will be closed Saturday December 24th and the 26th. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We will reopen with normal hours Tuesday the 27th at 6:00 am.

The Beacon Wellness Center will be closing at 5 pm today. We are sorry for any inconvenience. We will reopen at 6am tomorrow morning.

The Beacon Wellness Center will be closed on November 24th and 25th for Thanksgiving. We will have normal hours Saturday 9 am to 5pm and resume normal hours on Monday. Happy thanksgiving from the Beacon Wellness Center staff and North Sunflower medical center. We look forward to seeing everyone Monday after eating all the good food!

Biggest loser 2021-2022 has come to an end! Everyone did such a great job! We had 42 participants this year! Community and employees put in some great effort over the last four months! We had a total weight loss of 96.04 pounds, a change of 31.3% body fat, and a total of 57.5 inches lost!! Those are amazing numbers we are so proud of everyone’s hard work!
The last drawing winner is Presley Lee!! Congratulations Presley!
The overall community winner is Mrs. Patricia Robinson! She was consistent in her workouts and with her diet! She is a light every time she steps foot through the doors and we love having her!
The overall North sunflower employee winner is Mrs. Ashley Williams! Ashley worked hard in the gym with the help of her workout buddy who pushed her and was there with her the whole time! We are very proud of the hard work you put in and congratulations on being the biggest loser!
Everyone here at The Beacon Wellness Center are super proud of the effort and attitude everyone has had through the biggest loser. We are looking forward to everyone continuing their healthy journey. Come join The Beacon Wellness Center were friends and family come to find healthy lifestyle. We cannot wait for next year’s Biggest Loser Competition!!
