Taking care of the health behind Olympic hockey. 🏒🇺🇸

Dr. Dennis Sullivan of Central Maine Healthcare Orthopedics has served as Team Physician for the U17 USA Men’s Hockey Team, working with several players and coaches over the past 25 years who have since gone on to represent Team USA on the Olympic stage.

Before the spotlight.
Before the medals.
There was the work.

❤️ A heart for your heart.

Throughout February, you may have noticed team members at Rumford Hospital wearing red in recognition of National Women’s Heart Month.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for women in the United States. Around the world, it claims more women’s lives than all cancers combined. Too often, women don’t recognize the warning signs — or wait too long to seek care. Awareness and prevention truly matter.

February may be coming to a close, but our commitment to caring for the hearts of the River Valley community continues every day. ❤️

Heart disease doesn’t start in the emergency room. It starts with risk factors we can manage. 💙

At Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, the Prevention and Sub-Specialty Clinic is helping patients understand their personal risk for heart disease and take action early.

Led by Jared Tobolski, MD, the clinic provides individualized assessments, medication reviews, and practical guidance on lifestyle changes. Patients are already seeing improvements in blood pressure and cholesterol levels!

With February recognized as Heart Health Month, it’s a timely reminder to check in on your heart health. 💙

You’ll notice a new logo today.

Today marks an important new chapter for our health system and the communities we serve. Central Maine Healthcare is now part of Prime Healthcare Foundation, a physician-founded, nationally recognized health system committed to clinical excellence and community care.

We are proud to join Prime Healthcare Foundation. Our physicians are still here. Our nurses are still here. Our teams are still here — caring for this community every day.

As a member of Prime Healthcare Foundation, we remain dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care close to home, now strengthened by the stability and shared expertise of a national network.

We look forward to what this partnership means for our patients, our physicians, and our team members.

If you see a lot of team members wearing red today, there’s a reason ❤️

Our team at Rumford Hospital and our practices are participating in Wear Red Day as part of National Women’s Heart Month, raising awareness and showing support for the women in our community.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, yet many don’t recognize the signs, which can look different than they do in men. Nearly 45% of women over age 20 are living with some form of cardiovascular disease, making awareness and early care more important than ever.

Today, Dr. Eddy (our CMH mascot) spotted his shadow… which can only mean one thing in Maine — winter’s not done with us yet ❄️

Don't worry, no matter what weather the groundhog (or Dr. Eddy) predicts, we’re here and ready to care for our community.

Hang in there — spring has to show up eventually 🌤️ 🥶
