In the crazy pace of everyday life, it’s easy to forget that our body is constantly speaking to us….❤️

Through symptoms that we ignore or think we don’t have time to take care of - fatigue, tension, pain and emotional distress….

As an acupuncturist and health coach, I help clients to slow down and tune in to what their bodies are telling them…

And to begin to recognize what I call holding patterns that develop over time….To tune into them so we can start to unravel those patterns that are contributing to symptoms and illness.

Because healing isn’t just about fixing symptoms.

It’s about tuning in and listening to what your body needs at a deeper level. ✨✨✨

Nature truly has its own intelligence. ✨

Think twice before digging up that pink lady’s slipper—its survival depends on something you can’t see and it's part of a delicate woodland ecosystem. Pink lady’s slippers are a type of orchid that rely on a specific fungus in the soil to germinate and grow. Their seeds don’t contain stored food, so they depend on fungi to break them open and provide nutrients to the developing plant. As the plant matures, it starts producing most of its own food, and the fungus begins to draw nutrients from the roots—a symbiotic relationship that’s essential for survival. Plants dug up and moved to garden soil rarely survive, since the fungus isn’t present and conditions are drastically different from the sandy, acidic soils where they thrive in the wild. I found that phrase pretty powerful when I heard it. How does that land for you?❤️

Instead of already responding in your head reactively, try grounding, breathing and truly listening.

Then see what response comes. Maybe not what you thought. Or what your ego thought. 😉❤️

💧Maybe it’s as simple as staying hydrated and drinking more water…💧

➡️ TIP: fill up a water bottle. Take sips throughout the day. When it’s empty, fill it up again and repeat! ✨

🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️Maybe it’s finding motivation, time and energy for more exercise or movement.🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️

➡️TIP: start small! Many people think they have to work out for at least 1 hour/day. Not true!

If there’s a lack of time as well as stamina, start with a 20 minute walk, or 20 minutes of anything 3-4 days/week. 20 minutes is better than nothing! And the small amount of time is doable to make it more of a habit. ✨

It’s so often the getting moving or motivation that’s hard, but once you are and feeling good from it, it’s much easier to incrementally add more to your routine!

🍎 Or maybe you’re struggling with eating healthier….🥦🥑

➡️TIP: don’t try to make massive diet changes at once! Try to integrate 1-2 changes/ week…

For example, maybe a goal for the week is to reduce dairy and add more vegetables in at dinner. 🥦

Maybe the next week try and food prep healthy food options for lunches such as chicken, greens, carrots and hummus, pistachios, avocado. Foods that have a good protein and fat content to help stabilize blood sugar and are easy to throw in a salad or container! 🥬🫐🥕

Those are just a few examples of small changes we can make on a daily/weekly basis, that add up to create long lasting changes in our overall health! ✨❤️✨
