Congratulations Mr. Bobby Lumpkin!

Windham School District extends congratulations to Mr. Bobby Lumpkin, incoming Executive Director of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) effective September 1, 2025. Mr. Lumpkin has been a longstanding contributor to Windham’s mission and vision by engaging with students and teachers during classroom visits, supporting enhanced educational programming and co-presenting with Superintendent Hartman on national platforms. Windham is appreciative for his insight and looks forward to the continued partnership with TDCJ under Mr. Lumpkin’s leadership!

The Skyview/Hodge Complex is honored to extend its warmest congratulations to Sergeant Amaya Greer on her selection as Sergeant of Body Worn Cameras.

Sergeant Greer began her career as a Correctional Officer at the Hodge facility within our complex. Her diligence and commitment led to her appointment as supervisor of the Barbershops for the entire complex. After a year or so, she then assumed a new role within the Risk Management Department as Safety Officer I. Sergeant Greer has consistently proven herself to be an exemplary performer in every position she has held, and we have no doubt that she will excel in this vital role. Congratulations, Sergeant Amaya Greer and welcome back to the "GRAY!" 🎉💥👏💖

During Correctional Officer and Nurses Appreciation Week, the Skyview/Hodge Complex treated staff to its first ever Circus, because who doesn't want to be a kid again! Along with games and prizes for all, we enjoyed all the traditional favorites, nachos, popcorn, funnel cakes, fried Oreo's, cotton candy, and even snow cones! There was not a hungry soul around. Our menu consisted of smoked chicken, and sausage on a stick prepared by our very own Shorty Jackson, with all the help a guy could ask for! Baked beans, potato salad and all the condiments only added to the deliciousness. We are so grateful for everyone who contributed to this year's success and appreciate you all more than you know!
